~Anneke Kassabian: “Words cannot describe how happy I am to have this book! For three days straight, I could not put it down! This enchanting tale is skillfully woven with vivid descriptions, diverse characters, a captivating story, a tasteful romance, and a beautiful message embroidered throughout. But more than that, this book is easy on the conscience. I love the fantasy genre, but until now I have found it so hard to find a good fantasy story that doesn’t include demonism, the undead, gory violence and illicit conduct. As a Christian, that has both disturbed and discouraged me. This novel, on the other hand, includes none of such stuff and nonsense. It is clean, wholesome, beautiful, and enchanting from beginning to end, like a stunning sunrise you can’t take your eyes off of! This book is a delightful tale for all ages, and it leaves you wanting more!”

Miss Anneke also sent me this bit of fan-art shortly after reading the book which reminded me of this inspiration pic for Nácil. Thank you, Anneke, for sharing your talents with us!

~Cindy Swan: “The book was fantastic! What a gifted writer! I have never read a book of that genre before & wow, what a great surprise. I would sneak out in the car where it was nice & quiet & read away! She really knows how to capture her audience!
A
fter reading Prince Nácil, I would class R. R. Goodwill as a budding Tolkien, but with her own unique style.
“She masterfully draws you into the story as the original characters are thoroughly developed. Then you are led with great anticipation into the full blown fantasy, at which point I dropped everything to finish the book!
“I give Prince Nácil ten stars and eagerly await the sequel!
😊

~Ellen Hager: To anyone who hasn’t read this it’s a great read! I loved it! I’m getting 2, one for my 13 year old granddaughter.”

~Julie Herrlinger (written prior to finishing the book): “I'm really enjoying the fairy tale with all the imaginative details! The characters are fun to root for and the botanical details are correct! I'm not as excited about the religious part, it seems pushy sometimes. But maybe it will make more sense later. I am at the part of Muriel's home and how much Jane enjoyed the magic table! This book is a wonderful break from my usual routine and I look forward to reading more soon!”
(After finishing the book):
“I read small bits at a time and longed to find out the end all month. Well, I just finished it! I LOVE your unique word combinations, like "she steepled her hands", and her voice was "sweet as honey and slick as oil" I thoroughly enjoyed the suspense, and knowing that the white birds still have to be explained. What fun you must have dreaming up your stories and weaving them together! Keep up the fun!”

~Ruth Wagnell: “I appreciated the cleanness of the writing, eg. no vulgarity, sexual innuendos, etc. And the tension between right and wrong, with right winning, of course. And right being a demonstration of God, His attributes, His sovereignty, God as a person (ie. not just right versus evil, eg. as portrayed, say, in Star Wars). And then, I enjoyed the story, especially the suspenseful moments. Lastly, I was so blessed that you used good grammatical style, spelling, punctuation, etc. A lot of books or articles written these days have horrible spelling and sentence structure, which distracts me and spoils any enjoyment I might otherwise have had. So thank you, Rebecca. Bravo!”

~Dan Swan: Prince Nácil is a delightful fantasy woven around elves, centaurs, fauns, and other creatures as their world becomes intertwined with that of humans. The characters are skillfully developed as you are drawn into a drama of good and evil, fear and faith, and ultimately the hope that a loving, personal God can transform darkness into light. You will not want to put this book down as the author draws you through the portal to the kingdom of Prince Nácil and his struggle to regain his rightful throne.”

~Betty Nelson: I just finished your amazing story. You have a great deal of skill with details that are believable, and with conversations. Your characters stay true throughout. And I love all the wisdom and beauty you bring in. Your descriptions are really lovely. You can be very proud of this accomplishment, and it definitely deserves to be published big time.”

I realize, of course, that not everyone will LOVE my book. There will be some who find Nácil too emotional, and/or too much of the Perfect Male Love-interest.
There will be some who lump everything fantastical and imaginative into the same garbage-heap as witchcraft.
There will be some who find the “religious parts” too off-putting to finish the story.

Prince Nácil (Young Fëanor - Golden Valinor)

Nevertheless, the majority of those who have read Prince Nácil have had a positive reaction—people of various ages, vocations, and even genders. This tells me that my humble work is enjoyable for more than just school kids and/or teen-aged girls. It tells me that my stories can touch the lives of many types of people, making it timeless and relatable. This is both encouraging and exciting, and a great responsibility.

I pray I can, by God’s aid, live up to that responsibility, and provide my future readers with good stories for many years to come.
