Dragons and Doubles | LDTD Blog Tour!

(Apologies for this post being late—I injured my arm/shoulder recently, so I can’t do a lot of computer work. It’s better than it was, but I still have to be careful. Anyhoo….)
Here we are again with another Rizkaland-themed Blog Party, hosted by Anka Kendra.

 PARTY! Wahoo!!!

O.O Pixie, NO!

*CONFETTI!*
*GIANT GLITTER BOMB!!!*

Ack, thanks a lot! Now there’s glitter all over the blog.

It’s not a Party without imaginary glitter!
And confetti. :-D

Well, there you have it—this Blog Party has been officially christened, Pixie-style. :-P

The focus this time around is on Book Two of the Rizkaland Legends, Lady Dragon, Tela Du, which features two girls with the same face…and only one of them will survive the epic confrontation that awaits them….

Amber, the Lady Dragon, has been promised a fifty-year reign over Rizkaland and nothing can stop her from claiming it. But when you've lived six thousand years, fifty is such a pitiful number. Only one person can keep her from making this reign permanent - the Tela Du, a girl who shall share Amber's face.

The last thing Petra wants is a magical world interrupting her plans for a normal life, let alone an ultimate battle against the Lady Dragon with only one prophesied survivor. She has her childhood best friend, Reuben, at her side, but she's not sure if he's more of a help or a hindrance right now. Though she'd much prefer to just return home and forget about this whole crazy affair, things change when she discovers that the world has surprising connections to her own family - including her sister who disappeared without a trace two years before. Still, Rizkaland can't possibly expect her to risk her very life, can it?

Today I have the honor of interviewing one of the supporting characters, Noraeto by name.

Welcome to The Rambling Rose, Noraeto! Have a seat and let’s get started. And forgive me if my questions seem odd or ignorant; I haven’t officially met you or read about your adventures with Petra and Reuben—yet ;-)—so I’m kinda playing this by ear.
So, then, tell us a little about yourself—your background, your family—that sort of thing.
Hello, thank you for having me. I’m an elf. I live with my parents and grandfather in the family home in the middle of a Rizkan wood. We’re herdsmen, and own a large herd of Korrens. My grandfather works for Amber, so he’s only home one day a week.

What was your first impression of the Tela Du and her friend Reuben?
I thought that she was the Lady Dragon at first. Once Reuben corrected me ... I found them amusing. It wasn’t my place to laugh, and the situation was too serious to laugh, but she honestly thought that having tea with the Lady Dragon was a viable option.

Have you any special skills?
I have the gift of farsight - I can shift my point of vision so that I can see anything I want, no matter the distance or the obstacles. I've got in trouble for using it when I shouldn't, but for the most part, it's a very useful gift.

I can imagine!
What is your role in this conflict between the Lady Dragon and the Tela Du?
Well, I was the first person the Reuben and Petra met when they arrived in Rizkaland, and my grandfather works for Amber. Beyond that, I'm not at liberty to share.

Anything else you’d like to share?
I brought some korren yarn to give you. Kendra told me that you did sewing things, so I thought you might find it intriguing.

That’s very thoughtful. Sadly, I’m afraid your lovely yarn won’t transfer into my world, however, some of my Characters are handy with yarn in theirs, so I shall pass on your gift to one of them.

Thank you for stopping by. I look forward to visiting Rizkaland again!
Thank you for having me. Do stop by when you come. Mother loves company.

  1. Ok, so Noraeto isn't my favorite character, but he seems very nice in this interview. I approve. *nods*

  3. Yes. Well I was laughing some where around there. At least he didn't hear the health-care comment she made.
And I had no idea what it was they herded. Korrens.
