I
first heard “Someone to Watch Over Me” in the movie Mr.
Holland’s Opus,
and have come to love it in recent years. Apart from that “big
affair I cannot forget” bit, this song describes pretty accurately
how I feel sometimes. How I long to find someone who truly
understands my quirky, often contradictory, personality. Someone I
could truly share my life with...and know for certain he wasn’t
just humoring the lunatic or being polite. Someone who would take
care of me...and inspire me to do the same for him....
I’ll
be skipping tomorrow’s challenge (Song You Used to Love But Now
HATE), as I’ve come
up empty for that one—I generally either like a song or don’t
right off, and my opinions stay pretty much the same as time goes on.
That, or I start out not liking a song, but sometimes warm up to it
over time.
