Several
Irish jigs and reels come to mind, as there’s just something about
Irish music that makes me want to dance! (In fact, in my late teens,
I was physically incapable of not
dancing whenever I heard Irish music. It seemed to get in my
blood....)
For
today’s challenge, I’m going to choose “The Boat to Boffin”*
as my “dancey” piece. I love its lively, upbeat feel, and the
imagery it conjures up of life in a fishing village or near a
shipyard. If they ever make a movie of Wild
Rose
(previously entitled The
Pirate-hunter),
I totally want this song for the scene where Tom &co. join the
crew of the Good Ship Thorn.

Apologies for the quality of this video—it looks like part of a TV
advertisement or something—but the sound was better than the one of
this group’s actual concert.
